Panther Tank

Panther Tank is an opportunity for student organizations to pitch an event idea and potentially receive funding to assist in the execution of that idea! 

Is your student organization looking for some financial assistance to help host an event on campus? If so, this is your opportunity! The Office of Student Involvement is looking for student organizations with creative event ideas that can enhance student life on campus. 

By applying, your organization will have the chance to pitch your event idea to a panel of experienced event planners, gain valuable feedback, and potentially receive funding to help make your dream event a reality.

Application Deadline: October 8th at 11:59pm 

Event Date: October 15th from 12:00 to 2:30pm 

Event Location: Maucker Union Coffee House 

Eligibility: 

  • All registered student organizations are able to participate
  • The event must occur before April 30, 2026 with all supplies/catering ordered 4 weeks prior to the event date
  • The event must occur on campus

Panther Tank Details

  • Pitches will be no longer than 5 minutes and presented in front of the Panthers as well as a live audience
  • Participating organizations are not guaranteed to receive funding
  • Organizations will receive a follow up email after applying to schedule their 10 minute pitch time slot during the Panther Tank event.
  • Organizations will be asked questions from the Panthers who are looking to invest in events
  • If an organization receives funds, a representative must meet with Kelby Homeister and Carlos Frazier to discuss funding and event guidelines
Things to Consider When Creating Your Pitch (Event Plans)
  • What are the details of the event?
  • What is the event going to be called?
  • Where on campus will the event occur?
  • How much funds are needed for the event?
  • What will the requested funds used for?
  • When will the event occur? *Must occur before April 30, 2026
  • How will this event impact campus life?
  • Organizations will have 5 minutes to pitch their event idea
  • Organizations should be prepared for follow up questions from investing Panthers
