Joining a Fraternity at UNI

Incoming students can join a fraternity at UNI as soon as they are registered for classes. Returning students are able to join at any point in the year. The best way to get connected to fraternity life on campus is to submit the Fraternity Life Interest Form or connect with a chapter on Instagram.

Throughout the fall semester, Kappa Sigma hosts a variety of events for prospective members. We encourage interested students to attend, connect with our brothers, and learn what makes Kappa Sigma unique. These events are a great opportunity to find out if Kappa Sigma best aligns with your goals, values, and interests.

Kappa Sigma is continuously recruiting throughout the academic year. Learn more about the informal process and submit an interest form!

Informal Recruitment Information

Kappa Sigma continually recruits throughout the fall and spring semesters. Submit the form below to provide your contact and involvement information to the Kappa Sigma chapter recruitment chairmen.  All fraternity chapter events are required to be alcohol-free. If you have questions about your recruitment experience or what your next step should be, contact the Office of Student Involvement at involvement@uni.edu.

If you receive a bid from Kappa Sigma, congratulations! Throughout this fall and spring, the recruitment chairmen will be extending invitations to join KSig. This invitation is often called a bid and may be verbally extended or in a written communication (email, letter, etc.). The Kappa Sigma will provide a bid card with your name on it, ensuring your spot in their chapter for the upcoming semester. This is what binds you to their chapter and is an official document.
