Start an Organization
Student Organizations are registered by the Office of Student Involvement and the University, allowing access to promotional methods and funding through the Northern Iowa Student Government (NISG) budget. The registration process is easy. Complete the Online Request for Organization Registration found at the bottom of this page. Upon submission, your group's application and constitution will be reviewed by the Office of Student Involvement. If your application meets the Registration Guidelines below, you will be notified of your organization’s approval. If your submitted information needs to be corrected, you will be notified via email with any necessary corrections. Once those corrections have been made, you will be notified of your organization’s registration approval.
Once approval is complete, you will be contacted to schedule a meeting with a representative of the Office of Student Involvement to go over the responsibilities of being a registered student organization and the resources available to you for your organization's success.
