The Office of Student Involvement is hosting a variety of workshops/trainings on topics to help student leaders succeed. These topics will be designed to allow student leaders an opportunity to gain knowledge, resources, tools, and self-development skills. Please look through the workshops below and register today! - Professional Development
Motivational Interview part 1 presented by Megan Cahalan: November 5th, 1-2pm in the Oak Room in Maucker Union.
During MI Part 1, identify how to support yourself & others. Also, you’ll learn special tools like change talk, OARS+I, DARN CATS & MI Spirit. In addition, you’ll practice open-ended vs close-ended questions and why each one is important.

In MI Part 2, you’ll get to practice the skills you learned in Part 1. This part of the program is hands-on and fun! You’ll use tools like open-ended questions, change talk & reflections. By the end, you’ll know how to help and encourage your friends to reach their goals.
Using AI to Find Your Next Job presented by Matt Nuese: November 19th, 1-2pm in the CME classroom.

Iowa Student Leadership Experience (ISLE) February 21st, 9-4pm in the Maucker Union.
The Iowa Student Leadership Experience (ISLE) is a one-day leadership conference that brings students together to collaborate, engage, and practice meaningful leadership. ISLE is a collaboration between Iowa State University, the University of Northern Iowa, and the University of Iowa and is open to students from all three campuses. This year's conference will be held at the University of Northern Iowa

How to Plan a Successful Event presented by Kelby Homeister: October 1st, 1-2pm in the CME classroom.
