150th Event Funding Opportunity
Is your student organization interested in celebrating UNI's 150th? The Sesquicentennial Committee is offering financial assistance to help student organizations host creative, on-campus events that highlight UNI's rich traditions. This funding is to be used to enhance your event with a focus on UNI's 150th celebration. It is one time funding for organizations looking to apply. The application will be open from 10/21/25 until 9/11/26.
Funding Opportunity:
- Up to $500 available per student organization
- Support from the Office of Student Involvement for event planning
- Funding awarded on a rolling basis until all funds are distributed
Application & Selection:
- Application Deadline Friday September 11th 2026 at noon - or until all allocated funds have been given
- Apply now to be considered for one-time financial assistance
- After applying, your organization will receive a follow-up email to confirm whether funding has been awarded
- Funded organizations are required to meet with Connie Hansen to review event guidelines
Eligibility:
- Open to all registered student organizations
- Event must:
- Take place on campus
- Occur before October 9, 2026
- Have all supplies and catering ordered at least 3 weeks prior to the event
- The proposed idea must be a new event or an existing event with a focus on the 150th

- When preparing your application, consider the following:
- What is the event name and description?
- Where on campus will the event be held?
- When will the event take place?
- How much funding is needed?
- What will the funds be used for?
- How will this event promote UNI's 150th?
