Donations & Drives
There are several ways to support the Panther Pantry: food drives, necessity drives and donations. With our partnership with the Northeast Iowa Food Bank, we are able to purchase food items for .19 cents a pound. All form of donations are greatly appreciated.
When donating, please reach out to us so we can coordinate any details that may be helpful.
FOOD DRIVES
If you would like to host a food drive for the Panther Pantry please e-mail us first at pantherpantry@uni.edu. Communicating your interest in hosting a drive will help to make your drive successful. We provide, information, graphics, and other tools for pantry drives.
We want to make sure that the items donated are items that the pantry needs. The pantry has limited storage space, if you host a drive without letting us know we may not be able to accept the food donated.

NECESSITY DRIVES
If you would like to host a necessities drive for the Panther Pantry please e-mail us first at pantherpantry@uni.edu. Communicating your interest in hosting a drive will help to make your drive more successful. We provide information, graphics, and other tools for pantry drives.
Necessity items that the pantry typically carries include paper towels, toilet paper, ethnic hair care products, shampoo, conditioner, soap (laundry, hand, and dish), can openers, and cooking utensils (unused pots, pans, spatulas, and cooking spoons).
DONATIONS
If you would like to donate necessity items we have an Amazon wishlist where you can find items that we need on a consistent basis.
Monetary donations can be made at any time. All donations can be made through University of Northern Iowa's Foundation Financial Services office via mail:

If you choose to send a donation via mail please make sure to include your intention of the money is to be used for the Panther Pantry. Checks can be made out to the University of Northern Iowa.

Donations Drop Off
Whether you are dropping off a donation for a department or as an individual to the Panther Pantry the process is the same, just follow these three easy steps to donate non-perishable food items or necessities.
1) Contact us at pantherpantry@uni.edu and schedule a time for drop off
2) Meet a member of our team in the Event Services Office in Maucker Union at the scheduled meeting time with your donation
